Esperanza Health Center, located outside the boundaries of the old city dump, offers two opportunities for groups to learn about and support the work of the Center.
Option 1
This is a two hour group informational session led by the Health Center Staff. Using PowerPoint, personal sharing, and tours, you will learn about:
- The history and work of the Health Center.
- Health Center facilities
The most prevalent health issues of the Tijuana area.
- Community education programs.
- Training of community health consultants. Promotoras.
- Resources for supplies and equipment.
- The community that has grown on the old city dump and their health issues.
- Health Center needs.
Option 2
This is a full day group experience led by the Health Center Staff and the Health Center Board of Directors. The day will begin with the two hour informational session (option 1) followed by projects which might include, cleaning, painting, grounds clean-up and improvement, construction projects, repair and maintenance work. The day includes lunch.
Option 1 is usually scheduled for 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and Option 2 is usually 9:00 AM to approximately 4:00 PM.
Participation in Option 2 requires each participant to give the following two forms completed and signed to Esperanza Health Center staff at the beginning of the day.

To register for Option 1 or Option 2, contact the Esperanza group registrar. The registrar will be able to give you information regarding fees for both options.
